Justine Merrill is a lot like you; she loves dogs!
Justine teaches private Well Mannered Dog classes in Forest Grove Oregon.
Dogs have been her buddies since she was big enough to hold a leash.
The result of her lifelong passion for dogs is her innovative, reliable,
dog and handler friendly system of obedience training.

As a young person she was enthralled by classic obedience and field trial training of Labs.
She put titles on dogs in obedience and went on to study dog training theory
from the best trainers of the 1990s.

Now after years of teaching dogs, training dogs, showing, and seminars,
Justine offers her practical advice on getting your dog to behave for you and your family.
Justine believes owning a dog should be fun and easy,
her private classes work to bring out the best in your dog.

Justine likes to give her undivided time to you, your family and your dog. Private classes are arranged for everyone's convenience, ten days to two weeks apart to allow you time to practice.
(Justine teaches Monday, Tues, Thurs 9 am , 11 am and one afternoon session. Last class 530 pm.
Saturdays are private agility lessons, occ obedience. Sunday is a day of rest with her family.)

In four sessions of one and a half hours, you will learn to teach your dog house manners, grooming manners and classic obedience drills like down, stay and come. Walking nicely on a leash is a top priority. (Plus this, only trainer to offer Tracks about Town )

No dog is too young, or too old to be trained. It is easier to start a young dog around nine weeks of age. If you have a younger puppy, please call, we can set up your house to ensure potty training and other house skills get started correctly. Early obedience training prevents bratty, pushy behavior in teenage dogs

If you have a eight to twelve month old dog, do not despair, Justine can help you transition to a well mannered dog in a very short period of time.

Class cost includes six-seven hours of private lessons (4 sessions), all training treats in class, collar as needed, and ten foot training lead. Justine provides a booklet with pictures, so you don't have to worry about taking notes.

"Justine was worth every penny when my dog came back instead of running in the street, after two lessons." Joyce C, Hillsboro

"Justine's lessons were an incredible value, I had done group lessons, which did not cover very much information, and were ruined by one large dog and its handler" Anna K , Banks

"Amazing, my dog obeys me so fast, Justine is clear, funny, and had advice that applied to me! She is so non threatening and down to earth."
